Alaska is a beautiful place to see and just being here is breathtaking. While enjoying the beauty around you, your days here will be dedicated to building relationships, serving the community and sharing the Hope of Jesus.
Your daily schedule will look like this:
7:00 Depart UAA Housing
7:30-8:15 BREAKFAST
8:15-9:00 Worship and Devotional
9:00-9:45 Prepare for Park (lunches, drinks, equipment, sports equipment …)
9:45 Leave for Park
10:00-12:00 Park Activities (sports, crafts, activities …)
12:00-1:00 LUNCH in the Park with Kids
1:00-4:00 Activities in the Park (Bible Story, sports, crafts, activities, snack …)
4:00 Leave for Church
4:30 DINNER
5:30 Leave for UAA / evening activity (your choice)
Thursdays evenings are different. On Thursday evening we return to the park after dinner for a Park Party.
Our Thursday evening schedule will look like this:
3:00 Leave for Church
4:30 DINNER
5:00 Prepare for Park Party (pack food in coolers, connect trailer, …)
5:15 Leave for Park Party
5:30 Set up for Park Party (grill, food, tables, banner, bounce house, …)
6:00-8:00 PARK PARTY
8:00-8:30 Clean up and pack trailer
8:30 Leave for Church
8:45-9:15 Clean Up from Park Party
You will be trained by your team leader to share the Hope of Jesus Christ with the Wordless Book and to present Evangelical Bible Lessons.
We will have basic activity equipment available – Football, Basketball, Soccer ball, Frisbee, Pool Noodles and Parachute.
There will be a few hours free on some evenings. You will have about 20 hours of daylight, but you will have to pace yourself. Get enough rest to give your all to your purpose for being in Alaska – Park Ministry. Some things you might want to explore are:
- Souvenir Shopping
- Drive Eagle River Valley
- Visit Eagle River Nature Center
- Visit Earthquake Park
- Moose & Bear Viewing
SATURDAY, before you fly out, we will spend the day touring with you. Your team will choose from the Seeing Alaska options.
